Covenant Christian High School’s Faith Voehringer has signed with Grace College women’s soccer team, according to a Grace College news release
Voehringer was named to the All-City Team her final two seasons. As a senior, she helped lead the Warriors to their first-ever semistate appearance. For the final 10 games of her senior year, she moved to an offensive spot. She contributed seven goals and seven assists in that span, including the regional final game winner against Tri-West.
“I loved the Christian atmosphere and the mission the Grace soccer program is all about,” Voehringer said in the release. “Coach [Michael] Voss and the girls were so welcoming and fun to be with. I wish to improve myself as a player and show Christ’s love in my play and my attitude on and off the field.”
Voehringer was named to the 2011 City All-Tournament Team and the National Christian School Athletic Association All-American First Team. She was named the Warriors’ Player of the Year Award as a senior.
“She is a quality young lady and a dynamic soccer player that can contribute in the back and up front,” Voss said in the release. “Faith’s work ethic and determination to succeed will mesh with the squad we are developing. I am excited about the future and working with Faith.”
